Basis and Timing of Offers of Admission

Ontario secondary school students must present the OSSD and complete six 4U or 4M courses. All required courses will be included in the calculation of a student's overall admission average.

Brock will begin to issue a select number of offers in February and will continue to make offers of admission through April and May. Scholarship and co-op offers will accompany offers of admission.

Consideration for early admission in February will be based on high academic standing on final 3U/M grades, successful completion of at least one 4U/M course, and registration in prerequisite 4U/M courses. Offers of admission in April and May will be based on a minimum of three final or six interim 4U/M grades, as well as registration in prerequisite 4U/M courses. All offers will be conditional and subject to review based on April midterm grades. All subsequent offers will be based on the best six 4U/M grades (midterm/interim and finals) including prerequisite courses. Students with six or more completed 4U/M courses will be considered on the basis of these final grades. In the case of repeated courses, the higher grade will be used in the calculation of admission averages without penalty.

Applicants can expect to receive an offer of admission to only one program. When more than one Brock program is indicated on the application, the highest choice listed for Brock will be considered first. If not eligible for the first choice, consideration will be given to subsequent choices in the order of preference the applicant has indicated. If an applicant applies to only one Brock program and does not qualify, in most cases consideration will be given for an alternate and related program. In most cases students who apply for, but are not admitted to, a co-op program will be considered automatically for the regular, non co-op program.

For entry into the second-year Policing and Criminal Justice program, apply to one of Human Geography, Political Science, Psychology or Sociology.
