Basis and Timing of Offers of Admission
For full-time enrolment beginning in September 2007, Trent University expects to send offers of admission on an on-going basis starting in March. Applicants must have completed, or be registered in, six 4U/M courses. Admission decisions will be made using grades from a minimum of three final 4U/M courses for applicants in a semestered school, or six interim 4U/M courses for applicants in a non-semestered school. Grade 10 and 11 grades may be used to extend an early offer of admission when sufficient 4U/M grades are not available. All offers of admission are conditional pending successful completion of all OSSD requirements and prerequisites with satisfactory academic standing.
General Admission Requirements (required for all programs): An OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma), ENG4U (minimum grade of 60%; some programs may require a higher grade), and five additional 4U/M courses. 70%, or better, overall required. Four different subject areas must be represented.
Repeated Courses: When an applicant has repeated a course, the highest of the two grades will be used in the admission average calculation, if applicable.
