Basis and Timing of Offers of Admission
Beginning in early 2007, and continuing until late April, Western will be extending a number of early conditional offers, scholarships and offers of residence to students with an outstanding academic record in their last two years of secondary school. These early offers will take many factors into consideration including marks in prior grades, as well as prior and interim marks in 4U and/or 4M courses. Applicants must either have completed or be enrolled in prerequisite courses for programs to which they have applied in order to be considered at this time.
Offers of admission and final decisions for applicants who do not receive an offer as of late April will be deferred until May. All applicants will be given full consideration at this time. Information pertaining to special circumstances adversely affecting an applicant’s grades, as well as extracurricular activities and contributions to citizenship, will be taken into account for those students on, or near, the required admission average for the offers being extended in May. These forms must be submitted by April 1.
All offers will be conditional upon successfully completing the OSSD and maintaining a minimum final average in six 4U and/or 4M courses including all prerequisite courses as stipulated in the “Offer of Admission”. Admission averages will be based on the best six 4U or 4M marks, including prerequisite courses.
Internship and/or co-op opportunities are available in a variety of programs. For further details, please visit http://welcome.uwo.ca.
Alternate Offers: Applicants who wish to be considered for more than one program should list each program as a separate choice on the OUAC application.
