While grades are important, universities also offer many scholarships based on financial need, community involvement and school leadership. Make sure you perform several searches to find all of the scholarships available to you.

If you are not enrolled in an Ontario secondary school: Many universities offer scholarships specifically to students applying from outside Ontario and from outside Canada, as well as upper-year and mature students. These scholarships are not listed on eINFO - please contact the universities directly for further information.

Brock University

Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award Several

$8,000 ($2,000 per year) and induction into the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society.

The Brock Leaders Citizenship Award is awarded to entering students who have achieved exceptional academic success, outstanding leadership, and community involvement. By accepting the award, the student is also inducted into the prestigious Brock Leaders Citizenship Society. The total value of the award is $8,000 ($2,000 per year) and is renewable each year the student remains a member of the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society.

Receiving the award and entering the society: Successful recipients of the Brock Leaders Citizenship Award will receive notification in the spring prior to their first year of study at Brock University. When the recipients arrive on campus in September, they will be entered into the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society. The Society is geared at providing exceptional students a means of connecting with other campus leaders to further both their personal development, as well as their involvement within the community.

The Brock Leaders Citizenship Society provides its members the opportunity to meet with other Brock Leaders on a regular basis, share ideas and projects, and network. To renew the Brock Leaders Citizenship Award and remain a member of the society members must:

 maintain an 80% average in full-time studies
; have a minimum of 20 hours devoted to community service/involvement per term and a total of 40 hours for the fall/winter session
; and complete at least one level of the Foundation in Leadership Program (e.g., year one - Bronze Level, year two - Silver Level, year three - Gold Level, and year four - Platinum Level) each academic year.

Brock University and Brock University Donor Awards 150

A total value of over half a million dollars.

Most donor awards require an average of 85% or above and some awards have other criteria. Donor awards range in value, up to $20,000 over four years. Brock makes it easy - just complete our OneApp in order to be considered for all of our entrance awards. You do not need to be accepted to Brock before you apply. Brock University Entrance Bursary Several


Awarded to entering undergraduate students on the basis of financial need. Applicants must meet Ontario residency requirements. The award is tenable upon full-time registration. Students must complete our OneApp in order to be considered for all of our Brock University Donor Awards and Bursaries. Brock Scholars Award To all qualified students

$750 to $14,000

Awarded to entering students with no previous postsecondary experience. Initial offers are made based on secondary school grades available at the time of admission. The offers are reviewed when final grades are submitted and are altered if the final average falls into a new category. Students must also submit a Student Profile before the final award is made.

The scholarship values for 2013 entry are:
$14,000 ($3,500 per year) for averages 93.0%+
$8,000 ($2,000 per year) for averages 90.0-92.9%
$4,000 ($1,000 per year) for averages 85.0%-89.9%
$750 ($750 per year payable in year 1) for averages 80.0%-84.9%

Awards are renewable if the student maintains an 80% average on a minimum of 4.0 credits in the fall/winter session. Students pursuing a "Pass" degree will receive a maximum of two renewals.
