The following programs require you to complete some university study before you apply. Some may require a full degree before admission; others may require one or two years of university study. For additional details about these programs, contact the universities directly.

Applicants must be graduates of one of the identified accredited health profession programs from an Ontario college with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher (on a 4-point scale). Approved health professional diplomas include Dental Hygiene; Health Information Management; Medical Laboratory Technologist; Medical Laboratory Technician; Massage Therapy; Nursing (RPN and RN); Occupational Therapist Assistant; Opticianry; Paramedicine; Pharmacy Technician; Physiotherapist Assistant; and Respiratory Therapist.

One year of university study and prerequisites are required.

A minimum of any two-year college diploma with a cumulative "B" average (73% or better) or any three-year university degree with a cumulative "B-" average.

Communication Bridge
UOIT

Graduates from any three-year Ontario college diploma program in Print and Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, or Advertising, with an overall B average or better, will be considered for admission to UOIT’s Communication Bridge program.

Criminology and Justice Bridge
UOIT

Graduates from any of the following two- or three-year Ontario college diploma programs will be considered for admission to UOIT's Criminology and Justice Bridge program: Child and Youth Worker; Correctional Worker; Graduate Certificate in Youth Corrections and Interventions (with a two- or three-year college diploma in a related field); Investigation and Protection Studies; Law and Security Administration; and Police Foundations.

One year of postsecondary study and prerequisites are required.

Engineering
Windsor

Honours Certificate in Electrical Engineering Applicants must possess a four-year university degree. Either a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering (or equivalent Engineering degree), a four-year Bachelor of Science in Physics, or a four-year Bachelor of Computer Science.

Windsor

For the BEng Tech program, applicants must be Engineering Technology graduates from a College of Applied Arts and Technology, or possess a university degree in technology or science.

Two years of university study and prerequisites are required.

Information Technology Bridge
UOIT

Graduates from any two- or three-year diploma in Computer Systems Technology or a related program from an Ontario college, with an overall B average or better, will receive up to 45 transfer credits toward a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) degree. Graduates of two- or three-year diploma programs in other disciplines should contact UOIT to determine their admission eligibility to this program.

Information Technology Bridge - Game Development Specialization
UOIT

To qualify for this program, students must have completed a two- or three-year diploma in Game Development or related program with a minimum average of 80 percent (or corresponding letter grade) and may be eligible to receive up to 45 transfer credits. Graduates of two- or three-year diploma programs in other disciplines should contact UOIT to determine their admission eligibility to this program.

International BA - iBA (Trilingual)

Kinesiology (for Fitness and Health Promotion graduates)
UOIT

Graduates of a two-year college diploma in Fitness Health Promotion from an Ontario college, with an overall B average or better, will be granted an automatic block transfer of 13 courses toward their BHSc degree. Applicants may apply for advanced placement directly to the Kinesiology program.

Legal Studies Bridge
UOIT

Graduates from a two- or three-year Ontario college diploma in either Legal Administration, Law Clerk, Court and Tribunal Agent or Paralegal program will be considered for admission to UOIT's Legal Studies Bridge program.

Medical Radiation Sciences
Toronto - St. George

One year of university study and prerequisites are required.

Music Therapy
Laurier

Two years of university study and prerequisites are required.

Nursing - Post RPN
UOIT

Applicants must hold a diploma in Practical Nursing from an Ontario college (or equivalent) with a minimum overall B average or better and possess a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario. The specific average or standing required for admission varies from year to year. Students are selected by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school marks, distribution of subjects taken, and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Possession of minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications.
