Offres d'admission

Basic Requirements for Admission
Students presenting six midterms or three finals at the 4U/M level will be considered for admission on a rolling basis beginning in March 2011. All applicants must have six 4U/M courses, completed or in progress, including program-specific requirements. Students will be reviewed again upon receipt of second semester midterm grades.

Admission to all programs requires the completion of English (ENG4U).

Failed and Repeated Courses
McMaster does not penalize students who have repeated courses. The highest grade recorded for the specific course will be used in the calculation of the admission average.

Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
Students should check the university's "Admissions 101" page for information and updates about the admission process, estimated cut-offs, enrolment targets, application deadlines, and more. McMaster will begin making offers of admission in March, based on a minimum of three final 4U/M grades and registration in sufficient 4U/M courses to a total of six; or six interim and/or final 4U/M grades, including any required courses. McMaster may make select offers of admission to highly qualified applicants based on Grade 11 grades starting in January 2011.

All offers are conditional upon the completion of the OSSD with at least six 4U/M courses and an acceptable final admission average, which will be specified in the offer of admission.

1) Most offers to the Bachelor of Arts and Science, Bachelor of Health Sciences and the Integrated Science programs will be made in May.  All of these programs make use of mandatory supplementary application information in the application process. Contact the university, ask.mcmaster.ca, for details about application deadlines, timing of offers, and more.

2) McMaster does not automatically make alternate offers of admission. Instead, McMaster encourages students to apply to all McMaster programs in which they are interested (up to three). McMaster will give full consideration to each program selection.
