Offres d'admission

Basic Requirements for Admission
The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) expects students applying for admission to undergraduate bachelor programs to present at a minimum:

  • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of six 4U/M, credits or equivalent or mature applicant status;
  • Credits, courses and minimum grades to satisfy the academic prerequisites of specific programs; and
  • Non-academic requirements as specified (e.g., portfolio, admission essay, interview, etc.).

The specific average or standing required for admission varies from year to year. Students are selected by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school grades, distribution of subjects taken, and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Possession of minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance and due to space limitations, preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications.

Failed and Repeated Courses
The highest grade will be considered in the admission average for applicants who have repeated 4U/M courses.

Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
Early in 2011, the UOIT will begin to issue conditional offers of admission for the fall semester. Once applicants have completed all program prerequisites and have satisfied the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), final grades will be forwarded to the Registrar's office by the OUAC and these offers will be finalized.
