Changements aux programmes

Name Changes
The Diploma and Certificate Programs in Technical and Professional Communication have been renamed "Writing for Professional Programs".

The Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) program now resides within the new School of Health Studies. The undergraduate program has undergone a curriculum review; identified focus areas of study include: 1) The Determinants of Health 2) Health Promotion 3) Health Across the Lifespan and 4) Preparation for Entry into the Health Professional Programs.

Admission Requirement Change

Effective September 2011:
Applicants to our Western-Fanshawe Collaborative BScN program will be required to present a grade of at least 65% in each of ENG4U, SBI4U and SCH4U; 65% in one of MCR3U or MCF3M.

Admission - Mises à jour

The University of Western Ontario will now accept the successful completion of Level Five of the Fanshawe English as a Second Language (ESL) program as demonstration of English language proficiency for admission to undergraduate degree programs in lieu of English language proficiency tests. New: For students applying for undergraduate admission whose first language is not English - please refer to the "Language Requirements" section of eINFO for information about minimum English proficiency test scores.

Nursing - New for September 2011 Admission:  Applicants presenting the OSSDmust have a minimum of six 4U/M credits, including the following, with a minimum of 65% in each: ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U and one of MCR3U or MCF3M.

Music - New: Admission Requirements for Music Administrative Studies: Six approved 4U/M credits, including English 4U, and one of: MHF4U, MCV4U or MDM4U.

Dentistry: Effective September 2011, to be eligible for admission to Dentistry, applicants must be in the final year of, or have successfully completed an undergraduate degree program leading to a four-year undergraduate degree at a recognized university.

New: Effective July 1, 2010, the requirements for admission to Science (including Biological and Medical Sciences) have been revised to replace ICS4M with ICS4U.

4U/M courses required: ENG4U, MHF4U and two of: SBI4U, SCH4U, ICS4U, SES4U, MCV4U, MDM4U, and SPH4U. MCV4U is highly recommended.

New: Effective September 2011, admission to the Faculty of Engineering now requires MCV4U. The new requirements are six 4U/M level courses including: MHF4U, MCV4U, SPH4U, SCH4U, ENG4U and one additional 4U/M course from any discipline (not co-op).
