RobotX

RobotX is an intense, live-in engineering immersion that allows secondary school students to dive into the exciting world of engineering design, robotics and mechatronics. Students design and build a battlebot machine from scratch. On the last day of RobotX, teams test their robots in a series of skill and agility trials followed by head-to-head battle in a winner-takes-all tournament. Participants live in residence at the St. George campus, providing students with a rich university experience. RobotX is open to all secondary school students across Canada.

Every summer, secondary school students are offered an exclusive glimpse into the world of medicine and medical research by the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine. Students from across North America and around the world are invited to learn at Canada's most prestigious medical school.

From its home in the University of Toronto's Medical Sciences Building, in the heart of Toronto's "Medical Discovery District", the Med YSP offers students, currently enrolled in Grades 9 through 12, four unique one-week modules that each introduces a major medical discipline.

Each module includes lectures from world-class faculty and hands-on experimentation, guided by distinguished medical researchers, in cutting-edge research laboratories. The Med YSP's unparalleled access to the University of Toronto's medical faculty and research facilities allows participants to experience what it is like to be a student at Canada's premier medical school.

In addition to the enriching academic content, students get a taste of university residence life while staying at New College and participating in evening activities that showcase the city of Toronto.

DEEP’s unique curriculum has been specially developed to stimulate secondary school students' interested in science, math and engineering. Secondary school students from across the world learn about some of the most ground-breaking topics within the field of engineering through these interactive courses. From biomedical and aerospace engineering to the Mini-MBA, DEEP offers one of the most diverse ranges of pre-university courses in North America. DEEP runs for four weeks during the summer, allowing students to take up to four week-long courses over the four-week period. Students may opt to stay in residence during DEEP, providing a well-rounded glimpse at the university experience. The popular After-Class Clubs program also gives students a taste of the rich and diverse extracurricular activities they can expect at university. During the Law YSP, students currently enrolled in Grades 9 through 12 spend one, two, or three weeks at the Faculty of Law discussing advanced legal concepts, learning about the reality of the Canadian legal system, and applying their knowledge in a variety of stimulating environments.

For secondary school students interested in law and legal issues, the Law YSP offers an unprecedented opportunity to spend time in the fascinating world of Canadian and international law, legal thinking and advocacy.
