Renseignements universitaires

The minimum number of years required to waive requirements for an English facility test is four years of satisfactory full-time study in an English-language school system in a country where the dominant language is English. If an English facility test is required, students will be exempt from also having to include a 4U English (ENG4U/EAE4U) in their admission average, provided that six other acceptable 4U credits are presented.

If an applicant scores in the discretionary test score ranges listed below, and is otherwise well qualified for admission, the university will automatically consider other academic evidence of English proficiency (for example, results in English courses) and will advise the applicant whether or not the English facility requirements have been satisfied. Letters of reference will not be used for this purpose.

Applicants whose first language is French and who have achieved satisfactory academic progress in at least four years of full-time study in Canada are not required to provide proof of English facility.

Full English facility requirements, as well as many other acceptable tests/qualifications, are available at the web address.
