General Information
The University of Toronto Mississauga is a vibrant and active undergraduate and graduate campus that offers the benefits of a University of Toronto education in a beautiful, park-like setting. U of T Mississauga’s outstanding facilities, including a spectacular library and academic learning centre as well as a recreation, athletics and wellness complex, are set in 224 acres of protected green space. In September 2011, two new buildings will open. The first is a state-of-the art Instructional Centre that will house more than two-dozen classrooms that hold between 30 and 500 students. The second is a Health Sciences Complex, which will house teaching and administrative space for the new Mississauga Academy of Medicine – part of U of T’s Faculty of Medicine -- and the biomedical communications program.

The campus is home to approximately 11,500 full- and part-time students who are pursuing U of T degrees in arts, science, commerce and business. U of T Mississauga also offers a concurrent teacher education program for students interested in teaching at the intermediate, senior and primary/junior divisions.

Special Characteristics
U of T Mississauga offers more than 150 programs in 90 areas of study including humanities, social sciences, sciences and business. The interdisciplinary focus of many programs allows students to pursue degrees in more than one subject area. For example, studies in business and communication are brought together in Digital Enterprise Management; life science, ethics and social issues are brought together in Biotechnology. Courses are taught by world-renowned scholars and researchers who are committed to excellent undergraduate teaching. U of T Mississauga is also home to professional master’s programs in Management and Professional Accounting, Biotechnology and Biomedical Communication. A diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting is also offered.
