Combining the same quality education that has become synonymous with its Thunder Bay campus, the Lakehead University - Orillia Campus features advanced, state-of-the-art learning environments and a student life experience that takes advantage of the lifestyle opportunities that are unique to the city of Orillia and its surrounding region.

Phase one of the new Lakehead University permanent campus facility at Orillia is now complete with the main academic building and learning commons as well as the first residence facility and food service building. The Orillia Campus has been built to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. With a three-phase construction plan, the Orillia Campus is designed to foster interaction and collegiality among students, faculty, staff and visitors, all while immersing them in a campus environment that demonstrates and promotes awareness of the principles of resource conservation, sustainable growth and the protection of the natural environment and biosphere.
